Puritan,
He will need to put this all behind him, so he can start to feel "good about himself" and get his "self esteem" back.
This philosophy of "self-esteem" is also now rife in our (even Christian) schools. Has anyone noticed that the lists of "honor society" members in our local newspapers now include just about every student and sometimes their pets and imaginary friends? The evil idea of self-esteem allows threatening and aggressive criminals to walk down the halls, and instruction to consist of watching cartoons and the "applied science" of class participation in sex education.
We do not need pride and self-esteem but humility, discipline and truth, as bare naked truth seldom, if ever, seduces a proud and arrogant mind.
