I believe your right. Even though most "religious" (in the broader sense of the word) movies promote somewhat flawed interpretations they also open up opportunities to discuss what the Bible does teach. Just like the Passion of Christ did and now the buzz is the Da Vinci Code.

Some will argue that's why we need to go see these movies so we can understand what they are all about. I disagree with that argument. Fortunately there's enough written about them to know where they err. We don't need to examine the movie so much as we just need to know the truth. When our friends discuss the arguments presented in the films we should be able to lead them to the Bible and point out what it says.

Personally, my wife and I have both had opportunities presented to us by our neighbors that allowed us to present the gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ because a religious movie was being discussed. May God use our witness for His glory and for the benefit of our unsaved neighbors.
