I ran into a friend of mine that I have not seen for some years on
www.myspace.com the other day.. and I am quite concerned about her.
My wife and her approached the alter at a summer camp a few years back together to talk to one of the camps pastors about accepting Christ. They both talked with the pastor and that night they went with our own youth pastor to actually pray with him to accept Christ..
They then were both baptized a few weeks later and all was good. Anyway, she moved away from the city with her family and I did not see her again. According to her myspace page she is now a "wiccan". So my question is this,
Is it possible that she was never really saved? I saw her the night that she "accepted" Christ and she seemed so sincere, but it may have just been a "caught in the moment" kind of thing. Can an unregenerate (I hope thats the right term) even "fake" an acceptance of Christ?
I want to offer her some words of encouragement to come back to the truth, but I dont know what approach to take.. The few messages we have shared over the last few days or so lead me to assume that she is very upset with God.
Any ideas?
