In the past few months I've heard a sermon or two about seeing Christ's glory and also have read an article about it somewhere (I can't remember where but it was probably a Puritan article). As I've been thinking about my own life, I've come to conclude that I don't know if I have ever "seen" Christ's glory or at least have only the seem the dimmest dimmest glimpse of it.
I know that in this life, we perceive it (dimly) through the eyes of faith and that it is often (always?) through the reading of Scripture and through prayer. The sermons I heard discussed how important it is for us to see Christ's glory or seek to see it. I guess what I'm trying to say is that I find it very discouraging that I have seen so little of Christ's glory in my life and I highly desire to see more, but I don't know to proceed. It's possible that I do not even have a good definition of what "seeing Christ's glory" even means.
Any thoughts?
John
