The question is, will they obey the Captain of their salvation, or continue their dereliction of duty?


On April 14, 2012, in the latest of a series of actions that can only be called open apostasy, the Missouri Presbytery of the Presbyterian Church in America acquitted Jeffrey Meyers of charges of teaching Federal Vision theology, contrary to the Word of God.

This action follows the recent acquittals of PCA Federal Visionist pastors Greg Lawrence of Minnesota (by Siouxlands Presbytery, September 22, 2011) and Peter Leithart (by Pacific Northwest Presbytery, October 7, 2011).
Dr. Paul Elliott has written what will be doubtless met with strong resistance and rejection by many who will assert that what he says is too broad in scope. Yes, there are those who believe that there is some truth to what Elliott reveals but it is under-representative and restricted to 'fringe groups' within the PCA. However, the evidence is undeniable which shows that what has happened and continues to happen in the PCA is wide spread.

In every group there are the 'ostriches' who bury their head in the sand and deliberately ignore what is going on. And, there are the 'bleeding hearts' who insist that we overlook doctrinal differences and just get along with our fellow 'brethren'. Of course there are the over-reactionaries who make everything cataclysmic; blowing things out of proportion. But one cannot turn a blind eye to the severity of the situation in the PCA and other once-confessional Reformed denominations. The old adage is certainly applicable here: Those who choose to ignore history are doomed to repeat it!. Some examples in recent history are the falling away; apostasy of such denominations as the PCUSA, RCA, and CRC.

Therefore, I urge everyone to take note of what is happening in the PCA whether you belong to that denomination or not. And be informed not only to what has transpired but how it has happened. The pattern has been the same throughout history.
