Folks are too desperate for Christian entertainment.... I fall into the trap often with Christian themed music....I'm not going to touch this book or movie.....even CS Lewis' stuff leaves me cold..... I just don't see the connections....but the Shack from what I've heard borders on the absurd.... as far as the Christian tag is concerned. We throw around the term 'Christian' way too loosely these days

Interesting quote from a layperson following a review condemning the film:

"God, the Father, nor God, the Son, Jesus Christ, nor God, the Holy Spirit as revealed in the Bible are in ‘The Shack’ and it will not lead a person to them.

I am still awaiting a response as to why the author intentionally chose to place the confusing doctrinal heresies of Modalism, Panentheism, Universalism, Gnosticism, Patripassianism, Catabolism, Anthropomorphism, Cabbalism, Subordinationism, and Necromancy in “The Shack.” "
