You make some excellent points here. It takes wisdom to know if we should respond to people like that.

In case I was not clear, I chose that quote, mainly because it reflected so well the world view of those who oppose the Judeo-Christian ethic that our nations were founded upon.
Whether that person actually believed what he said or not, I simply do not know.

I like how you ended your post, for what really does it prove even if we won an argument, if we do not get to the truth of Scripture?
