Dear Fellow Saints & Friends:

What do you believe the biblical and reformed position is for where single adult daughters should live?
I have seen an increase in the reformed camp that adult single daughters should remain at home under the headship of the father if and until the Lord is pleased to send them a husband. Some verses I have seen used are those dealing with man leaving his father and mother and cleaving to his wife, the father giving the daughter in marriage in 1Cor. 7, the woman being the weaker vessel in 1Pet. 3, and of course the headship passages of the father and husband. Do you agree with this position and the using of these passages of Holy Writ to support it? If not, why? And if you do, do you have other verses to support this view? Thank you

Brother Bret
