As the father of two adult daughters (24 and 19 respectively) who currently live at home I see no problem with them being under my headship when it comes to rules of my house, and where we go to church (although I will admit if they wanted to go somewhere else and gave a good reason for it I would be inclined to say yes.). And at the same time if they wish to leave the house and live on their own I see no problem with that either. I believe the main issue is whether you have trained them up as godly women. If they are then I don't see them going out and living an immoral lifestyle.

However, let me say that as a father I also still hold to the idea that if despite my training they did start living in debauchery (and frankly I find it very hard to think they would) I have the duty to tell them that they are wrong and even get the church involved in it.

Just my 2 cents
