One is Michael Behe’s book, “Darwin’s Black Box”. Your daughters teacher may be able to better relate to this type of a book since Michael Behe is himself a Professor of Biochemistry. I would suggest that you get a copy for your daughter to master and get a copy for her to give to her teacher, perhaps as a Christmas present.

His explanation of the biochemical processes of vision in the human eye will just astound the imaginations. How could it ever have come about by “natural means”? The “black box” of vision was a closed box in 19th century Darwinism. Today that “black box” has been opened for all to “see”. I don’t think even Darwin could be a Darwinist in the 21st century. Behe’s main contention is that “evolution” must now be argued at the molecular level. He states, “..for the Darwinian theory of evolution to be true, it has to account for the molecular structure of life. It is the purpose of this book to show that it does not” (pg
25)
There is a review of this book at Answers in Genesis. Here: http://www.answersingenesis.org/docs/1130.asp

Dave
