Dear friends , two days a go I heard a sermon by a pastor I love to hear, for in EVERY sermon is the GOSPEL.That is not so in the church that we are atending. Anyway in this sermon the pastor spoke of, how the Lord Jesus Christ is our rest. But than he said that there was no need anymore for the Lords day, it is sin to keep the Lords day. Here I lost him(the pastor) Yes the Lord is our rest, but it being sin to keep the Lords day, I don,t understand what bassis he has. More people told me so, people that afther going to church cant wait to get out of there nice cloth to watch a football game, but a pastor. Please help me? <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/blush.gif" alt="" />

If you go to this page: http://www.ankerberg.com/Articles/archives-ap.htmyou'll find an 8 or 9 part series on this. He comes from the position that the sabbath is not for today. Scroll down until you see "part 1."
(Latin phrase goes here.)

Even if someone did not believe that the Sabbath principle was still in effect, I don't understand how "esteeming the day" could be called sin (Romans 14:5 - 6).
