While the story is in a publication for PCUSA laymen, the actual event occurred in an ECUSA church.

However, several in the USA are endorsing this and thus one of the reasons it ran in the Layman ..... Thus, what are your thoughts--further apostasy, blasphemy, etc.

No doubt this is the outcome of apostasy. They can talk all they want about being "fools for Christ," but all they are is fools for folly's sake.

Is this blasphemy, apostasy, etc>? Did you read the principals to guide the clown minister in the bulletin as part of the order of worship. It's titled the "theology of clowning." Sacredness and reverence are obviously missing. Without repentance and faith they will try to make it as entertaining as possible. It's hard to imagine what might be next. Wes

Utterly disgusting! Appalling! Thanks for making me sick J. I wonder if Reverend Dr. Cooper ever heard the story of Nadab and Abihu?

They would have been better off using the "all things to all men," however that would have been calling their audience a bunch of clowns and thus ..... It amazing to me the innovative depravity this generation is exhibiting to not glorify God. What kind of Church will the emerging Church be?

Unfortunately there are many other churches "clowning around" in their worship every Sunday. They just aren't as obvious as this one.

While the visible church may (and to a significant extent will) apostasize, the invisible church will remain triumphant in Him.
