What is the Highway homepage theme song? I have heard it on family radio a couple of times but can not make out the words. Sounds quite beautiful though. May become one of my many favorites.

And then I could most likely tell you what it is. At one time I had "Jesu, Joy of Man's Desiring" by J.S. Bach play upon access to the home page. But I received several complaints via e-mail from people who said they didn't appreciate the "auto music". So, I removed it. In His grace,

In His grace, For those who sent complaining e-mails please click HEREJesus, joy of man's desiring, Holy Wisdom, Love most bright; Drawn by Thee, our souls aspiring Soar to uncreated light. Word of God, our flesh that fashioned, With the fire of life impassioned, Striving still to truth unknown, Soaring, dying round Thy throne. Through the way where hope is guiding, Hark, what peaceful music rings; Where the flock, in Thee confiding, Drink of joy from deathless springs. Theirs is beauty's fairest pleasure; Theirs is wisdom's holiest treasure. Thou dost ever lead Thine own In the love of joys unknown. Was Bach born again?

When I first "came aboard" it was the Bach's "Yesu joy of man's desire" that first attracted me to this board. I was quite disappointed when it was discontinued. How about trying it again. I used to sit & listen awhile before proceeding to the board.

Well, I've also been thinking about adding it back in too. I have about 4 versions of that beautiful song so deciding which one to use will be the hardest part. Thanks you two for being the final "push" as it were. ![[Linked Image]](http://www.the-highway.com/Smileys/thankyou3.gif)

William, Johann Sebastian Bach (1685-1750) was a devout German Lutheran. As a young man he studied Latin, Greek and theology. He lived in the times when Lutherans actually knew what Martin Luther had said and done. http://www.lucidcafe.com/library/96mar/bach.htmlDenny Romans 3:22-24

William, gnarley and Paul, I have added "Jesu, Joy of Man's Desiring" back to the homepage as requested. But this time I have also added the display of a "mini-player" which allows one to stop, pause and replay the song as well as adjust the volume, albeit the variance is limited. Of course, since I do not have every variety of media player installed on my system, the size of the player is configured for the one I do have which is Windows Media Player 11. How other media players will look is unknown to me. And for Paul, I'll try and remember to substitute one of the other versions of this tune from time to time and/or substitute something altogether different. At your service,

There are a couple of things you might try: 1) Empty your "TIF" Temporary Internet Files (aka: cache) for your browser. 2) Refresh your browser, e.g., for IE press the "F5" key. Questions: 1) What browser/version are you using? 2) What brand/version of Media Player are you using? With so many different browsers and media players now being used, I can't guarantee that the autoplay music and/or the mini player will work for everyone. But I'll try and create a code that is as compatible as I can make it to accommodate everyone as best I can.

Jeff, When I go to the homepage, the player seems to load correctly and starts to play, but no sound comes through. And yes, I did check the volume.

Those who were having issues with the auto-play sound on the homepage should visit the homepage again. I made some changes and hopefully things are working now for all, or at least for most.

Marie, I'd send my children to study under a Tibetan priest before sending them to this "Christian" college. Denny Romans 3:22-24
