Just wondering if there are any experienced reformed believers here who would be interested in debating over on another board, which is more arminian-based? The reason I ask is that I am a reformed believer and have posted there for several years along with a handful of other reformed believers....We are very much outnumbered....But I am relatively new to reformed theology and would appreciate someone going there to discuss salvation issues especially someone who has an in-depth scriptural background of reformed theology. If anyone would be interested, please PM me and I will give you the web address. Thank you.

Hi Don, There are plenty of experienced Reformed believers here. There are also many articles and discussion threads on salvation with in-depth biblical study from a Reformed perspective. So I think you'll find answers to your questions here on the Highway. Just do a search on any given topic. I'm just wondering why you are now soliciting us when in your last reply you stated that the Highway was the wrong place for you. Wes <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/scratch1.gif" alt="" />

Thank you Wes for your reply. The reason I left is not because I did not consider anyone here credible with respect to reformed theology. I simply did not feel very welcome nor did I feel it too appropriate to establish a presence as I attend a liberal reformed congregation associated with the EPC, which it seemed was looked down upon here. But do not take that personally! Anyway, I think you perhaps misunderstood my OP, I'm not asking about my own questions, I'm asking if anyone would be able to debate those on another board who pretty much massacre reformed believers. My scriptural background is not strong enough to debate them very well, even though I try to stick in there! I'm just looking wherever I can for anyone who might be interested in debating on another site I have been associated with for a number of years. Thanks again for your interest.....Don

Thanks for replying and making it clear why you left. I think most people here on the Highway would want to be helpful to you in a positive way. Thankfully when someone is being led away by heresy the folks here will be kind enough to say it right out. We don't massacre anyone just because they are not Reformed. We try to teach them.
It the website you are interested in participating on is hostile toward biblical Chrisitianity (which Calvinism and the Reformed faith are) then why go there? In an environment like that they probably aren't teachable anyway.
If you want to grow strong in your faith and truly experience spiritual healthiness go to a website where you can learn from mature Christians rather than argue with mental midgets.

Don, Just a quick encouragement to follow Wes' advice. Some may feel called to be the minority voice in groups with which we no longer agree, but it is normally quite fruitless and speaks less than taking one's leave. 2 John 10-11, speaking of false teachers, is appropriate here. Of course this does not mean we are not to instruct those with honest questions in the truth of the Lord, far from it, but sites like the one you mentioned are not normally hotbeds of honest questions. Oh, and please know that Wes' welcoming words about "mental midgets" was said with the utmost charity!
In Christ, Paul S
