Yes it is but, at a substantial cost. The Highway was getting too much traffic according to its previous hosting service and they took the site down. The Highway now has a wonderful hosting service called Bird hosting. By all means check them out. The service through them is above and beyond what we were hoping for. Spread the good news, we are up and running. There remains a few tweaks here and there to be done but for the most part we are all online and fully usable.

A small note. If you haven't notice it yet, the date displays 12/31 instead of Dec 31 as in the other Highway forums.

Wait until tomorrow. Messages from "yesterday" should read in the standard format. I think that when it reads yesterday or today, in order to fit in the extra words, the date format changes to xx/xx/xx. Remember, we have been offline for 27 days so there are few recent posts to refer to.

No, you certainly were not kicked off. <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/laugh.gif" alt="" /> The former web host service provider considered The Highway to be too popular (heavy traffic=1.6 million hits per month) and wanted to force us onto a higher priced service so they shut down this Discussion Board thinking that we would jump to their dedicated server. The price tag for a basic dedicated server was a minimum of $125 (+) per month which was too much. This site is maintained by donations and there simply was not enough in the till to justify that kind of expense. After a lot of prayer and research of available options we found a virtual hosting plan with Bird Hosting. The Reformed Bible Church of Westmoreland, NH made a gracious donation to The Highway to enable us to get the site online again. Bird hosting bent over backwards and went the extra mile making a contribution and spent many hours helping to get the files onto the new virtual server. They did so much to make this transition smooth. Thank you, thank you! Through the Lord's providence The Highway with its 1600+ sermons, articles and books, plus this wonderful discussion forum which we all enjoy using is back online. We are grateful to God for His goodness to us. A wish to all of you for a happy new year and may The Highway continue to be a useful tool as people seek to grow in their spiritual lives.
