The Highway Forums General Discussion Open Forum Advice for new users

First of all I would like to welcome all the new users that have signed on, I count 9 of you so far in the last 24 hours, that must be some kind of Highway record!!

I noticed quite a few of the new users reading posts in flat mode. Might I suggest that you go to your preferences in your Control Panel and choose the Threaded view? You may find that it is easier to follow the flow of the discussions.

Again, welcome, and I am looking forward to your contributions to the discussions. Enjoy!

Let me extend to you a personal greeting to The Highway Discussion Board

We are certainly sympathetic to your present "pain" and "disorientation" , for this board software is relatively new to us too; we have only had it since April of this year. The old board that many of us were accustomed to using was significantly different. The "adjustment" period however was quite short after we began to discover how user friendly this board is, the speed that things load (when the server isn't having problems, hehe), and the myriad personal options that made us feel right at home.

We do have a HELP Forum which you probably already noticed, where you can ask virtually any question [img]http://www.the-highway.com/Smileys/help.gif" align="absmiddle[/img] about these boards with no guarantee you will get a satisfactory answer! But seriously we are more than able and willing to offer advice, assistance or even an argument if you are so inclined so as to make your participation here an enjoyable one. Just another refugee from elsewhere in Reformed cyberspace, trudging in to pitch a tent on the edge of camp. Have enjoyed visiting The Highway a number of times, but just registered. Looking at the user list I see a number of familiar names. <br><br>I'll probably be an infrequent poster the next couple of months due to a pending hospital stay, and as a newbie I should mainly listen and get to know folks first, and get accustomed to the interface. But I'd like to become more involved after that.<br><br>I've had a link to your site on GraceOPC.net for some time now, but really without knowing too much about you. Where can I find out more about the founding and history of The Highway, and about Pilgrim?
