I just noticed after making another post this morning that the time of the post if NOT correct. I don't think it's on my end because I am -5 from GMT and that's what's in my Highway display prefs.
The correct EST was 3:04 PM when I took this clip:
Methinks you are confusing this board with another one. The server for this board is located on the west coast of the US and thus your "offset in hours" should be "3" and not "-5".
Give that a try and you should be all set for having the correct time.
Just to make things a bit clearer, the "offset" is not based upon GMT but on the actual server time which is displayed just above the offset field so as to make it easy to figure out which offset is needed.
See the screenshot below which hopefully will make the old "light" go on.
OK kind sir, I'll fix it and thank you fer your patience. But I must say that UBB is the first forum software that I've encountered that doesn't use GMT offset. I'm a member now in vBulletin, phpBB, IPB and maybe others and this is a first.

True, this software is a bit different than many others. However, I must say that I appreciate the developers for doing it this way, at least from my perspective. For, I can never remember all that GMT stuff and invariably I have to look up the way it all works. This way, the server time is displayed with the offset option and it's just a matter of looking at the clock on my PC and doing the simple math to arrive at the right number.
Be that as it may, I'm glad to help you along with the idiosyncrasies of this particular board's features.
