As you have probably read by now, the financial condition of The Highway is such that it cannot continue without the help of those who have traveled upon this road and found the benefit enough to be willing to support it. Current web site statistics show that between the website where the articles are to be found and the Discussion Board the monthly number of ‘hits’ is around 1,000,000… yes one million. The Lord had significantly blessed The Highway's efforts to make available godly and biblical literature for the edification of the saints and the calling of sinners to repentance and faith in Christ.
January 6, 2011 would have marked The Highway's 15th Anniversary. 15 years of ministering to many people throughout the world ensuring that articles, books, sermons, software that are consistent with the confessions of the historic Reformed faith.
We don't like to have to ask anything of you. But as we have given over the years, now we will ask that if you will consider this ministry to be of value to the church at large, to make a sacrifice and help us now. Honestly, some of you buy coffee at Star Bucks or Dunkin Donuts and if you were to give up just one cup of coffee a week to give to The Highway, it would help keep this site online. Some of you have been giving sacrificially and to you, I say a BIG thank you. You have made it possible for others to learn Truth; to find encouragement; admonishment and help and grow in faith. For those who have not contributed, I would encourage you to consider doing so now, before it is too late and The Highway goes offline.
If not and The Highway does close, I would like to thank each one of you for the friendships, encouragement, and Christian love that has been exhibited to me over the years.
The Chestnut Mare

This does not sound good! Last year we were at the same point.
What will happen to all the articles if The Highway were to go offline?

I am rather surprised and shocked that there has been only one reply to the "Crunch Time" article placed by Pilgrim, when 47 have apparently read it! I am even more shocked that no-one has yet, so far, given a response of even the smallest donation towards keeping The Highway online. We all know that times are hard but with so many members, surely it is not asking too much to give even the price of a cup of coffee, to save it!
We have been blessed with so many good articles and others to peruse, and although we may not agree always with everything, we are sure that this is probably the best in doctrine, in sovereign grace, that we are going to find on the net.
Unless the LORD prompts some of you to give, it looks as if Pilgrim and his wife will have no alternative but to close it, for they cannot continue to carry the cost themselves. They must be extremely disappointed after all the work that has gone into this website, for some 15 years, for the glory of the Lord.
sincerely, in Christ, ENGLISH ROSE

English Rose, I agree with you. The point is indeed that except for Pilgrim and Chestnutmare, the remaining eight top posters for the last 30 days, for example, should be able to keep The Highway going with a donation as small as $20 per month. I realize this is hard times for many but indeed as Chestnutmare remarked, many of us spend more than that on other niceties.
So come on, lets take up the challenge and keep the Highway online!!!

Although I agree with all that you said ,Johan and I realize that you were making a statement as to what just a few can do if they really want to,but there are many who benefit from this site that never post.I read articles for months before I felt comfortable enough to respond to others or make a statement of my own. My grandaughter, who is almost three loves to put our offering in the plate on Sunday along my daughters check. One of the ladies in our church stood up a few weeks ago and spoke to the congregation saying that we should all be so happy as little Isabella and run to give our offerings to the Lord. The same goes for here,we should run to support this ministry.

What will happen to all the articles if The Highway were to go offline? The 1700+ articles, sermons, books, etc., will no longer be available. And the more than 32,000 links to them will, of course, be dead. One website alone has nearly 1000 links to The Highway's repository of literature. Unlike many sites, the actual material has been hand-typed or scanned, formatted, converted to HMTL and then uploaded to the server. And many are unique to The Highway along with the permissions to publish them online from the author(s) and publishing houses. In short, all that is viewable on The Highway is actually there; not just links to off-site sources. Some, of course, can be found elsewhere which are public domain.

So come on, lets take up the challenge and keep the Highway online!!! Speaking of "challenges"... An anonymous member on this board has offered to match any donation up to $50. In short, if someone donates $10, this person will match that $10, etc., up to the maximum amount of $50. ![[Linked Image]](http://www.the-highway.com/Smileys/thumbUp2.gif)

That is sounding a bit better - that someone is willing to match donations up to $50. I am not sure how much that is in English pounds. When Pilgrim wrote his "Crunch-time" I immediately sent $12. so will he or she match that please?
sincerely, in Christ, English Rose

I noticed that the goal of $360.00 has been reached and even slightly exceeded! That's wonderful news! Let's see to it that each month's goal is reached and that by the end of 2011 it is not necessary for Pilgrim to again make a desperate call on us to "save" The Highway.

So The Highway has been preserved at the last minute! The LORD did not want it to close.
Thanks be to God. Love in Christ, English Rose

How I wish I could do more! We have barely dodged homelessness these past few weeks. In fact we are losing our home, but the Lord has provided a place that is affordable, and a job - after nearly two years of unemployment - that is sufficient to keep a roof over our heads. It keeps me traveling all the time and my visits to this site infrequent and hurried. But it was the only job available and I worked very hard to qualify.
Even during my family's most desperate times, the Lord always provided enough for me to support the Highway with even a small amount! He has been faithful, this site has been faithful, so we should be faithful too.
Perhaps, Pilgrim, the other Christian internet sites that rely on the Highway for material should be contributing to this vast Reformed repository as well. Regardless, I want to thank you for the years of faithful work developing and maintaining this site. What a labor of love, and what rich treasures are found here! And what unknown reward awaits the Lord's servants who support this work!
S.D.G., Robin

It looks like there was about $25 left to meet the goal of solvency and I had just that amount to spare. I think I'll look cool with a pink "supporter" logo next to my name.
Merry Christmas.

Yep....still waiting for that pink "supporter" logo next to my name... The "Supporter" designation is reserved for those who either give monthly or who have given a substantial amount in the course of the year. Each new year the Supporter group is renewed. Doubtless, this policy will not be to everyone's liking, but this is what has been implemented here for quite a number of years and it seems to be both fair and practical. We do appreciate ALL who have given, regardless of the amount, including their prayers for the support of The Highway website and this board. ![[Linked Image]](http://www.the-highway.com/Smileys/thanks4.jpg)
