I went to my control panel to see if I could make the print larger, and found a place to choose the # of columns and rows in the "TextArea". I've changed it twice now, but I don't see any difference in either the regular forum- and post-display, or here in the box where we type our posts. What does "TextArea" refer to?

Thanks! ![[Linked Image]](http://www.the-highway.com/w3timages/icons/smile.gif)
Gilda

Gilda,

You have it right..... "Text Area" is the window where you type in your text for all functions, e.g., posting a new message, replies, edits, PMs, etc.

So, you are saying that changing the Text Area parameters in your Control Panel have no effect at all? This is what I'm using:

[color:blue]TextArea columns?
70

[color:blue]TextArea rows?
10

Depending upon what browser you are using, these sizes are going to vary in actual appearance, especially for the "columns". I have found that Netscape displays much wider using the same number than what is displayed by Internet Explorer.

What browser are you using? And what numbers do you have for the two variables: columns (width) and rows (height)?
