I know some believers who say they will not vote for a woman candidate. They believe there are mandates from Scripture forbidding it or telling of the bad consequences for a nation.

What do you say?

I am not the best one to answer this, mainly because I am not sure of the answer.
What I am sure of is that women are not to be in leadership in the home or the Church.

I must admit that I have voted for a women before, mainly because of the two political parties running, she was the leader of the better party; the other party being socialists.
So my choices were to not vote at all, vote for the women candidate, or vote for the socialist candidate.
As far as I am concerned, I definitely could not vote socialist, so that left me with either of the other options.
It looks like I am going to be in the same situation in the not too distant future.

One of the thoughts that comes to mind when I make a decision such as this, seeing I am not certain that the Bible is completely clear on this; is if I will not vote for a women politician. Then how far can I take that same principle into the work place?

Would I work for a company that was run with women in leadership?
Or perhaps a women as my supervisor?

I cannot vote for a women as the leader of a country, province, state or city. I have voted for women running for other offices, however, e.g., Senator, Representatiave, MP, etc., reasoning that those offices have far less power which is also shared among many others.

Now, looking at Tom's dilemma where the choices are either a far left socialist or a woman, assuming the office being sought is one of leadership as given above, I would either: 1) write in a candidate, which is allowed here in the US, or if that is not an option 2) not vote. I could not in good conscience vote for either candidate.

I would agree about women should not be in leadership. However I would extend that to Judges, Representatives, Senators, and Executive Branches because they are leaders. I am voting for Ron Paul or the Constitution Party Candidate or I will write in Ron Paul.

RON PAUL 2012!
