Just as we should not ???????????????????????? "as those who have no hope," neither should we ???????????????? as if there is no sovereign, righetous God who must and will bring justice, punishing all sin.
While the anger we all feel over the murders we have seen in the last few days and months is ???????????????????????????????????? anger, we must take great care in how we respond to these events.
Were it not for God's grace, any one of ???????? could be that tortured, twisted person consumed with unfocused hatred and violence.
We must defend ourselves, our families, and our neighbors. Buy and train to use and carry a firearm. Practice situational awareness, all that stuff. But do not be provoked to revenge. Rather let's provoke one another to good works - ???????????????????????????????????? defending each other from evil, whether physically violent or ???????????????????????????????????????????? damaging.

In this discussion I said I agreed with Robin and that has not changed.
There is however, a lot of new information coming out from the Left, where many are actually saying what Charlie Kirk represented is dangerous. I hear that Stephen King recently made statements that indicted that Charlie Kirk was a NAZi. That he and others are using language that may cause people on the Left to act out to kill dangerous NAZIs.
A few Christians I know, now believe that although we should not shrink from the truth. We can now, expect violence from the left, on people that have the courage to speak out.

I've suggested to you many times over the years and even recently to CONSIDER THE SOURCE before you react to or act upon what you read/hear. Yes, Stephen King uttered something of that sort about people who are conservative +/-. But did you also hear that he's backing down on what he said? There are some reasonably reliable news sources which are most always void of 90+% of the garbage found in lame-street media and social media. Examples:Newsmax Townhall RedState PJ News Hot Air Express twitchy Bearing Arms As with ANY online source or printed media or information available in all forms, discernment is mandatory. Social Media is one of the worst offenders (aside from Legacy News sources). IF you don't have the ability to ignore the ignorance spewed on those sources you need to examine yourself and make some serious decisions on how you live your life. "Know thyself" my friend; both strengths and weaknesses.

Hey Tom,
A few thoughts.
1. Listen to Pilgrim, as you well know, he’s a good man. I used to blog @ American Thinker. They do some good, factual research with writers that have specialized expertise but also some opinion based commentary.
2. I didn’t really follow Kirk but my wife and others say he was pretty mild. What is the evidence that he was a Nazi? What did he espouse that could be deemed dangerous?
3. My biggest point, and this is just my personal opinion, is I feel like these events and the legacy news interpretation of them is designed to radicalize our response and I think there is, and has been, a movement to try to link Christianity to aggression and (minority) suppression - I know, it’s ironic! So I recommend we respond in truth and love and be emboldened to continue to do so. And continue to call out lies and biased misrepresentations for what they are!
4. I purposely didn’t watch a clip of the shooting cause I think I would get too upset and disturbed.
Keep fighting the good fight!

Anthony, I actually was trying to follow Pilgrim’s advice of the past. However, I did not hear of Stephen King’s backing down. The fact however, that Stephen King made the comments in the first place; made many on the left agree with him. Yes, they are making some very hateful comments. To many on the left, someone on the right are considered “fascists and NAZIs”. I have been called a hateful bigot, a few times now. For simply believing what the Bible says. They do not need to have evidence that Charlie Kirk was a NAZI. They love to twist his words, for their own purposes. I did not always agree with Charlie Kirk, he has endorsed a few people who are in the Word of Faith. He himself is in the Calvary Chapel movement. I did enjoy his bold, but courteous reasoned debate. Perhaps, that is why I have watched perhaps about 10 of his debates over the past few years. I thought I would give something related to this. https://apple.news/AcNXdVBkHS8SfDwDY58zIMQIf you follow social media, (which is probably not a great idea). You know how many hateful comments are being made about Charlie Kirk. The latest being the calling for the assassination of his wife. I like what Robin said and I was definitely not trying to take anything away from that. I watch a great podcast every Thursday, called ‘The Sword & The Trowel Podcast’. The last podcast, they dedicated to Charlie Kirk. They did so, because many in their own Church were seeking advice. Much of that advice is in keeping with what Robin said. Tom
