I think as far as political and social applications in today’s America, I think Romans 1 gets to the heart of the matter.

I think if an intellectual case is to be made for natural law, but more importantly Christianity, as foundational, it would require a great deal of social conditioning. This is why it won’t work - as a mere form of social conditioning. The masses don’t only not want (true) Christianity for their minds, they don’t want it for their souls. Neo-Paganism most easily resembles the human condition…

1. If there is a God, they don’t want it to be Jesus.
2. If there is a Jesus they don’t want Him to be a Savior from Sin.
3. If they are to worship they want to save it for themselves, others, and for the benefit of their personal needs/lusts. To worship the creature rather than the Creator.
4. As they prefer the worship of themselves, this includes a rejection of man as image bearer and accountability before God, His Law & Holiness. You can’t be a practicing homosexual or identify transgendered (or just a transgressor, in general - feminist, fascist, Marxist, anarchist, racist/supremacist, atheist, gnostic, etc., etc.) without a complete repudiation of your Creator.

* In addition, we have culture, media, education, and various institutions that promote moral pluralism/neopaganism that contradicts true religion and caters to our natural fallen condition. And when Christians are promoted and propped up in the secular realm it is presented as a road to social re-transformation with Stephen Wolfe & Doug Wilson leading the way.

I think Romans 1 is a good barometer. It’s a good starting point and a good conversation starter. Humanity can either accept reality or be seduced by our fallen fantasy…

Quote
18 For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who hold the truth in unrighteousness;

19 Because that which may be known of God is manifest in them; for God hath shewed it unto them.

20 For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse:

21 Because that, when they knew God, they glorified him not as God, neither were thankful; but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened.

22 Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools,

23 And changed the glory of the uncorruptible God into an image made like to corruptible man, and to birds, and fourfooted beasts, and creeping things.

24 Wherefore God also gave them up to uncleanness through the lusts of their own hearts, to dishonour their own bodies between themselves:

25 Who changed the truth of God into a lie, and worshipped and served the creature more than the Creator, who is blessed for ever. Amen.

26 For this cause God gave them up unto vile affections: for even their women did change the natural use into that which is against nature:

27 And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another; men with men working that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves that recompence of their error which was meet.

28 And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not convenient;

29 Being filled with all unrighteousness, fornication, wickedness, covetousness, maliciousness; full of envy, murder, debate, deceit, malignity; whisperers,

30 Backbiters, haters of God, despiteful, proud, boasters, inventors of evil things, disobedient to parents,

31 Without understanding, covenantbreakers, without natural affection, implacable, unmerciful:

32 Who knowing the judgment of God, that they which commit such things are worthy of death, not only do the same, but have pleasure in them that do them.

The Five Points of Paganism

I think it’s useful and necessary to expose the religion of neo-paganism and the push to institute a national and even global belief system that is neo-pagan to the core. Unfortunately, it does appeal to our natural senses and inclinations. But it is a religion and a natural belief system even by default - the religion of the reprobate. Dr. Peter Jones has done a stellar job exposing pagan lies. He’s been a constant and uncompromising “go to” that I keep going back to when the world makes the least sense. There’s nothing new under the sun.

Anthony, I hope to look at what you have provided in more detail; when things
slow down.
However, my first impression, is what he is called
NeoPaganism is called by many different names.

For example: “The New World Order”, which I have been
hearing a fair amount by those who agree with the WEF.
Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney recently mentioned
it in a speech.

Hey Tom,

Ultimately, I try to follow Pilgrim’s lead that these are not the most pressing matters but I do think it’s good to be clear eyed about some of these trends. There is also a good episode on the YouTube channel Reformed Forum on how the Roman Catholic Church can and does essentially shift shape with modernity as the RCC has a history of merging with paganism. So any perversion of the true gospel will serve a “greater good,” which we recognize as evil. I just like to keep these things in mind as to not get too caught up in a counter Christianity exploited for mere cultural supremacy which will also strip the gospel of it’s true meaning and purpose and make enemies where there should be converts.
