In reply to:
[color:"blue"]Did Christ look at you when you were in your lost deplorable condition--dirty filthy rags (look this up you may find it very descriptive)? Then so should His Church! Of course, I am not saying to flaunt your sin, that is sin in and of itself, but if you do not have a Church mature enough to assist people in their struggles, then one must ask if this is truly a Church that you should be attending.

Joe,

Yes, so should his church. Even if there are godly and discrete elders to assist, the church is bigger than just the officers. All it takes is one. Don't get me wrong, I do believe that face to face counseling would be superior, but we must respect what would have to be overcome to trust in this way. Many if not most churches are not mature enough to handle many issues. The things I have learned that I should have never been privileged to astonish me.

In His Kindness,

Ron

In reply to:
[color:"blue"]We are to bear one another's burdens. We all have like sheep gone astray, we all were condemned before God at some point.

Yes, we are to do so. We are all wretched. But there's more here than what meets the eye, I think.

Blessings,

Ron
I don't understand. It seems that you have talked to people face to face. You don't have virtual pastors do you?

Praying,

Ron

In reply to:
[color:"blue"]where did you come up with the "within 10 years of my age"?

That's a personal preference. The ten years thing is flexible, but I really don't think someone who probably hasn't experienced the temptation in more than a few years will be able to relate as well.

OFFICIAL POST FOLLOWS:
_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_

Pilgrim, I apologize to you for being harsh and unnecessarily graphic. My earlier post was a bit off-the-handle, over the top, and written in a spirit of anger and bitterness.

Whoo! Glad to get that off my chest. I'll post something later, but right now I have to go lift heavy things and then put them down.
In the midst of your sadness and woe, when you are tormented and afflicted, have comfort! God's will is done.
Dear Nathan,

In reply to:
[color:"blue"]. I have tried to resist, but to no avail.

I know where you are coming from and will be remembering you in prayer.
In Him,
Brian.
jesus_freak2

I think I understand why you want someone closer to your age, but if my guess is correct, I would say that you are mistaken in the notion that someone older may not have experienced this particular temptation in more than a few years.

Tom
Nathan, , there is nothing too difficult for our Lord, absolutely nothing! You are in my prayers.
