Overall, I really enjoy reading material put out by the Gospel Coalition. The way they keep it gospel-centered is much needed today. Still, sometimes I pause on some of their articles. There seems to be some diversity within the contributors which may or may not be good.
One of my biggest struggles is how to engage the current culture. Their is a thin line (balance) between engaging the culture and succumbing to it. The Gospel Coalition gives various ways in doing so, and I am not completely on board with some of them.

John, Have you read any of the articles on The Highway or others elsewhere that critique the "New Calvinist" movement? In the most recent articles on this movement by E.S. Williams, he makes it very clear that the "Gospel Coalition" is one of the spearheads of the New Calvinist movement. And he then reveals the unbiblical doctrines and practices of its founders and others involved in it. Yes, they are clever enough to include some writings from authors who are respected and no longer alive. I strongly suspect that this is done to give the movement some legitimacy in the eyes of the unwary and naive. Bottom line for me, knowing who the main individuals are behind the Gospel Coalition, I want nothing to do with that group and I will never recommend anyone associate with it in any way whatsoever. Here are the articles, just in case you missed them. IF you have already read them, perhaps a reread would be in order? - Characteristics of New Calvinism - E.S. Williams - Who Are the New Calvinists? - Part 1 - E.S. Williams - Who Are the New Calvinists? - Part 2 - E.S. Williams
