Sorry, I have been out of pocket for a while.

There is some debate on whether Doug Wilson crosses the line into heterodoxy. I know he is closely associated with the main voices of Federal Vision; but as some argue, they cannot find anyplace where Wilson has made statements that would be regarded as outside of orthodoxy. I googled around, and found a few things but all are from a few people like Scott Clark. Who many see as a pesky nit-picker. So, what is the scoop on Wilson? Is he guilty by association and being quirky (paedo-communion, post-mill), or has he really made some heterodox statements?

As I remember, Doug Wilson was one of the infamous 4 of the Auburn Avenue group. He was one of the main proponents of Federal Vision. I have never read anything where he recanted his views and therefore I have to conclude that he is guilty of embracing damnable heresy... not simply "heterodoxy". He was also one of the core group that started their own denomination where F.V. was openly preached and taught. So again, there is no 'guilt by association', but rather 'guilty by personal conviction of heresy'.

IF someone can evidence that Doug Wilson has openly repudiated any relation to Federal Vision and has openly preached and/or taught against it as heresy, I would be open to revising my stand against Wilson, at least on that one point. He has many other areas of doctrine which I reject too. giggle
