Howard,

Are you serious? The "Girl Scouts" are part of "Free Masonry"? Could I also assume that you believe that the Boy Scouts, Cub Scouts, Brownies, Campfire Girls, YMCA, YWCA, and every other type of children's group is somehow associated with Free Masonry or some other demonic group? Please tell me where your information came from that links the Girl Scouts to Free Masonry? Inquiring minds wanna know. The only "freemasonry" they'd do is if they volunteer to build a fireplace at no expense

Howard,

I have been in the hospital for the last few days. When I returned I read your post here. I was shocked!

Lord Baden-Powell (B-P) is credited as the founder of Scouting. He was NEVER a Mason. Another person credited with beginning another aspect of the Boy Scouts is Daniel Carter Beard who was a Mason. Among the other founders were James E. West, Ernest T. Seton, and William D. Boyce.

TMK, Freemasonry's ONLY relationship with the Boy Scouts was with Daniel Carter Beard (of course, other Masons have probably served as Scout Masters, et. al.). In the late 1800's he founded a male youth program called the "Society of the Sons of Daniel Boone." By 1905, the program had become "The Boy Pioneers." The man who would create the first "Boy Scouts," and be known as its founder, was B-P of Great Britain. Lord B-P, who was [color:red]not a Mason, but read of Beard's youth program (not Masonic Program) and, [color:red]based on his own military experience (not Masonic training), developed what is known as the "Boy Scouts." In 1910, the Boy Scout program came to America when Beard merged his organization into the "Boy Scouts of America" and became its first National Commissioner.

Just because Judas was Jesus' treasurer does not mean that Jesus was a reprobate (as I am sure you affirm) and just because Scouts has some ties to men who were involved in Scouts does not mean scouting originated from Masons--it did not. Did not Christ run a good Treasury while on earth, though it was run by a reprobate? I guess since I was an Eagle Scout, Order of the Arrow, et. al. I am a little biased here. Also, just because I was a member does not mean I agreed with everything they did--I was only a kid attempting to get into a Military Academy and thus a Boy Scout.

PS: Girl Scouts was founded in 1912 in Savannah, Georgia, by Juliette Gordon Low, who was [color:red]not a Mason.

I have'nt the books anymore myself, so I have just been to my local Christian bookshop and I found a little about it.

The book is called : Free From Freemasonry by Derek Robert , first published in 2000.

Here are a few things from page 100.

Lord Baden-Powell was a Freemason. The Duke of Kent is the Masonic Grandmaster of Great Britian and is President of the Scout movement.

The scout badge depicts a Phoenix also called a Right Wing Bird which is also a "One World Order" symbol.

The 3 finger salute is a representation of the "Baphomet Hand" which is a recognised symbol in witchcraft meaning "devils triad". Traditionally scouts face East when saluting.

THe Brownies movement is totally based on folklore and mythology. It believes that brownies were created as "magical little creatures". This link is used in the naming of the brownie "sixes" , such as elves, gnomes , sprites , pixies and imps.

howard

I was a cub scout and a boy scout when I was younger, and I was never taught ANYTHING but how to use a knife, how to start a camp fire, how to pitch a tent. Had I know that camping and wilderness survival were a cult thing, I woulda quit doing them a long time ago

Well, howard, since I am a Boy Scout, I think I can clear things up a bit.

In reply to:
[color:"blue"]The scout badge depicts a Phoenix also called a Right Wing Bird which is also a "One World Order" symbol.

The scout badge (and every other badge except Second Class) depicts an Eagle, not a phoenix. We use an eagle, because it is the national symbol of the US. The First Class badge (which has the most stuff on it) consists of an eagle superimposed upon a trefoil. The trefoil is symbolic of the Super Secret Scout Sign. Under this is the Scroll bearing the motto, "Be Prepared". On the bottom of the scroll is a wierd little knot, which symbolizes the slogan, "Do a Good Turn Daily". The ends of the scroll are turned up to depict the notion that the Good Boy Scout is always smiling at the chance to help others. I'm doing all this from memory, so correct me if I leave something out.

In reply to:
[color:"blue"]The 3 finger salute is a representation of the "Baphomet Hand" which is a recognised symbol in witchcraft meaning "devils triad". Traditionally scouts face East when saluting.

The 3-finger salute represents the three points of the scout oath: physically strong, mentally awake, and morally straight. We don't face East as we salute, unless we happen to be to the West of the flag.

In reply to:
[color:"blue"]THe Brownies movement is totally based on folklore and mythology. Never did make it into the Brownies for some reason.

--jf2

Sounds like a conspiratorial crock.

Looking it up on Amazon, I found that customers who buy that book tend also to buy the following: How to Cast Out Demons: A Guide to the Basics, The Three Battlegrounds, Discerning of Spirits, and Ridding Your Home of Spiritual Darkness. Looks like the dregs of evangelical writing.
