I just received an e-mail showing an e-mail debate between James White & Mark D. Carpenter of Outside the Camp. It is fairly lengthy, so if anyone is interested in reading it, please let me know and I will e-mail it to you.
The only way I will post it here is if either Pilgrim or one of the monitors requests it.
Mark, He's one of those despised Reformed Baptists, and the Lord is using him mightily! I have not read his books, but have heard him speak at a Founders Conference and listened to his programs and he is a very able defender of the truth! You might even like him!
Yes it is the same person. What I like about James White is he doesn't hold any punches. However he does so in a fair manner, using Scripture to back up what he says. I have even heard a broadcast of him where he was in Salt Lake City evangelizing Mormons. When a so called Christian was spreading hateful lies about the Mormons, he came up to the person and told him that what they said was not true.
What was really interesting about that was that Mormons came up to James and thanked him. He was then able to tell these Mormons that he wasn't a Mormon; in fact he was a Christian. You might be interested in hearing one of his many debates. www.aomin.org
[color:"blue"]Vince, I removed your e-mail address as it isn't wise to display it publicly. In its place, I substituted a link to your Personal Profile, where there is a link to e-mail you. This is a new feature which was announced here: Email User added.[/color] - Pilgrim
I have just begun his KJ Only Controversy and I find his presentation , style and manner quite refreshing
Like I told Vince, James White saw either this thread, or one I started at another forum and he talked about it in more detale on his own site. aomin.org
Just wondering why would anyone be interested in a debate with someone like Mark Carpenter. This is the same guy who writes "In the historical realm, we had to disendorse John Calvin. And we mean it when we say that we had to. When we find out that someone whom we endorsed (either recommended their ministries or quoted them favorably) actually was/is unregenerate, we must tell and warn our readers. It makes no difference how famous or well-liked or revered as a "father of the faith" these people were/are. We are no respecter of persons". This fellow has added many other theological giants to his so-called "HETERODOXY HALL OF SHAME". I find it hard to take him seriously.
in Christ, Carlos
"Let all that mind...the peace and comfort of their own souls, wholly apply themselves to the study of Jesus Christ, and him crucified"(Flavel)
Unfortunately Mark D. Carpenter has garnered quite a following. People like James White have debated people of various un-Christian back grounds, so I don't see how Carpenter is any different.
I am a little tossed on this one however, if more people like White debate him, it may just make his name known even more than it is now. Tom

Could you supply your source information, please? I would like to know what the statistics are that warranted you to make this remark.
