I'm tired of hearing that a church needs a combination of task-oriented and relational people in its leadership. That sounds true, but what does relational people do but arrive late, ignore duties and just stand around.
Case in point, who is it that ends up greeting visitors in the front foyer. It is us task oriented people who are not good with people. The relational people who are suppose to be so good with people aren't there. From my perspective task oriented people cares more about people than the relational person, but they get all the glory and praise.
