Dear Wesley,<br><br>I do know that God puts things into people's minds, hardens their hearts, and guides their steps. This does not preclude the fact that men can still resist God's will. Luke 7:30 clearly states that some rejected God's counsel in not being baptized to repentance:<br><br>"But the Pharisees and lawyers rejected the counsel of God against themselves, being not baptized of him."<br><br>Secondly, there is no indication that man must be 'regenerated' before he can hear the God that calls even the dead, for John 5:25 says,<br><br>"Verily, verily, I say unto you, The hour is coming, and now is, when the dead shall hear the voice of the Son of God: and they that hear shall live.
